About the Opportunity
The Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of New South Wales (AH&MRC) has a challenging and exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal person in the role of Project Officer - Aboriginal Drug & Alcohol Network (ADAN) to join their team in Surry Hills.
This is an Aboriginal Identified Position (exempt under section 14 of the Ant Discrimination Act).
The primary purpose of this position is to support, strengthen and manage the ADAN. This will include providing policy advice, developing services, and planning in relation to drug and alcohol issues within Aboriginal communities.
The successful applicant will have qualifications in public health or the equivalent experience in the health sector. Specifically, AH&MRC is seeking applicants with experience in the Alcohol and Other Drugs Sector. You'll also have a strong understanding of the current drug and alcohol issues affecting Aboriginal health and an unwavering commitment to finding solutions.

The successful candidate will enjoy attractive remuneration circa $54,000 to $65,000, negotiable based on qualifications and experience. As a community health organisation, AH&MRC can also offer you $16,000 of your income salary packaged per annum. This figure is FBT exempt and no tax is payable on this amount.
